بين المخيم وبرلين، فلسطين أقرب وأبعد

عندما يلتقي فلسطينيون في الغربة. لا، عندما يلتقي فلسطيني/ة بفلسطينيين قادمين من المخيم. لا، عندما يلتقي فلسطيني بفلسطيني آخر قادم من اليرموك، ثم من عين الحلوة، ثم عبر السودان، ليبيا، البحر، ايطاليا، فرنسا إلى إلمانيا. قصص مريبة نسمعها هنا كل الوقت، كلما جاءنا زائر جديد من المخيم. قوارب الموت تقرّبنا.

عندما يلتقي فلسطينيون، قادمون من أماكن مختلفة، يجدون في أوروبا المكان الوحيد القادر على استيعابهم، القادر على جمعهم تحت سقف واحد. لاجئون من هناك، لاجئون مرة ومرتين وثلاثة.

مخيم اليرموك، تبقى منه ثلاثون الفا، بعد أن كان أكبر المخيمات، ويقطنه أكثر من مليون ونصف، سوريون وفلسطينيون، لا زال يعيش حصارا قاسيا منذ أكثر من عام، يموت في اليوم ألف مرة.  يصبح البحر الملاذ الأخير. إلهي هبني بلادا ملاذا. الهي اوقف دوران العالم.

This is Palestine – African Refugees Welcome

While watching news of African Asylum seekers’ protests against Israeli anti-refugee policies, I had the following thoughts:

Without Return, Palestine Will Not Be Free.

Many often express solidarity with Palestinians speaking only about ending the occupation that started in 1967, ignoring the root of the problem: the ethnic cleansing of 78% of historic Palestine in 1948. The occupation in 1967 was simply a completion of the plan.

Palestinian refugees (5.3 million) along with the internally displaced Palestinians, citizens of Israel who are not allowed to go back to their villages (250, 000), compose about half of the Palestinian nation (11.6 million). Does it make sense to be in solidarity with a nation by ignoring rights of half of them?
