Juliano Mer Khamis, 53, a friend and colleague, was shot dead in the Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank. Mer Khamis is an actor and director, born to a Jewish mother Arna Mer and Palestinian father and communist leader Saliba Khamis. He was a freedom fighter who believed in the power of the word, art, music, theater, education to resist the Israeli occupation.
Mer Khamis, was shot in front of the “Freedom Theater” which he founded and worked in for the last 10 years.
I dedicate this page for his memory. A great loss for Palestine.
